How do I get my hamster to stop making his bed in his wheel?? Help!!!!! PLEASE!!!!?

I have a hamster that keeps making his bed in his wheel. His name is Snickers Jr. (I had another Snickers.) I call him Nickie. The wheel is on the outside of the cage, so I can't just tip it over and get all the bedding and stuff out. Please HELP!!!!!!
